3 Spiritual Ways to "Sucker Punch" Early Week Blues!

It's the start of a new week and getting into the swing of things can be very tough!  For me, I notice that I'm moving a little slower and sometimes mentally drained.  However, I had to remember that we're all in a constant fight...with Satan. Ephesians 6:12 states "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."

So you see, Satan is on his job to distract us from all that God has for us!  Today Satan....we're ready for you and you're about to get "sucker punched".  I want to encourage you to change your atmosphere, your attitude, and your heart and let's press through our early week blues because God is always by our sides.  When we join together....Satan can't do anything but flee!  I hope that these three tips will encourage you and give you a little spark to continue to press and allow God to move in your life!  Stand flat-footed and look Satan in the eye and say..."Now what!" :)'

TIP #1 - Count it all JOY!

The circumstances of life can be overwhelming and you may find that it just sucks the energy and joy out of you!  We must remember that the same power that God gave the disciples is the same power we have. James 1:2-3 states "consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance." So don't just be happy, a temporary feeling based on your current state, but be filled with JOY knowing that God is using every instance of your life to help you grow in your faith and persevere.

TIP #2 - Draw Strength from God

You're not alone...so stop acting like it!  Don't allow Satan to pin you in a corner and "sucker punch" you.  However, draw near to God and tap into the strength He provides by digging deeper into the Word.  Scripture is the best way to renew your mind and spirit and it's through scripture that we know that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13).

TIP #3 - Don't Doubt...Just Do It!

You lack motion, You lack energy, and then the doubt creeps in!  Don't allow doubt to keep you from achieving the goals you've set for yourself this week.  Analyze your goals and break them down into smaller achievable tasks!  Jesus told doubting Thomas to “put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” It takes belief to experience God and His blessings!  Work hard, press, and just do it.....it only takes a little mustard seed of faith!
